MGA is an RPG setting with a sci-fi meets supernatural setting.
The title character is Magical Girl Ava (Real name Celeste Burton), who has left her home planet and moved to a new world named Junis (may change).
The current goal is to have each chapter take 10 hours to complete in game.
Chapter 1: The Collaring
Team Make up: Ava
In this chapter Ava arrives on the planet and this will be an introduction to the story.
She'll be introduced to:
- The Tertiary School System
- Her School, with her Room mate
- Mana Sense to detect corruption
Parts of the hero journey:
- The Ordinary world: Introduce Ava, and the world she's on. Give it a bit of a back story and why she's here. Get into a bit of a daily routine.
- The Call to Adventure: During the introduction, walking through the city to the metro station she hears a cry for help. Being a retired magical girl she runs off to investigate. The mark of a hero, when someone screams they run to the scream not away from it. She'll discover two thugs that are trying to sexually assault a woman her age (19). This will be the introduction to the combat system. Or at least the first part of the combat system. Ava will have some physical attacks from her martial arts training. Kick, punch, and other similar attacks.
- Meeting the Mentor: The mentor is with Ava from the start. It's her animal companion, who will try to convince Ava to take up her wand again.
- Refusal of the Call: Ava doesn't want to get involved. She spent the last seven years fighting wrath demons. She doesn't want to be fighting anymore. Besides the world already has a Magical Girl, and being a vigilante and cleaning up crime is not her thing. Let someone else do it.
- Crossing the Threshold: The lust zombies show up and people are turning into zombies, and the Magical Girl on the planet doesn't seem to be doing anything about it. People she's met at college have disappeared. She reluctantly picks up her wand again
