Scene 1:

Fade in from black.  Focus on the interior of the shuttle, Meghan is sitting on a seat. She is the only person on the shuttle. Meghan is wearing a half T-shirt, a set of comfortable looking gym shorts, and a set of sneakers.

NARRATOR

It was a bright and sunny day, I would love to say that, but I was on a shuttle down to the planet and it was night. I had been delayed at the space ring, and I could do nothing about it. It was a new life for me, coming here for tertiary education and maybe college. I had no connections here, which was both good and bad. No one knew who I was, but then again, NO-ONE knew who I was.

NARRATOR

Who am I? I’m glad you asked. I’m Megan Higgins. Who’s that? Well, no one really, she’s no one, but you might also know me as Magical Girl Ava. Yes, that’s right, it’s me. The savior of Calibran planet. Proud defender of justice and defeater of the demon horde.

NARRATOR

That was all behind me now. Now I just wanted to be a regular girl, go to training school and then maybe university afterward. I’m nineteen now, and I’ve been fighting demons for ten years. Ten long years until my youngest sister took up my wand. I did keep some benefits.

MEGHAN

Almost there Milo.

I can see that Megs. I’ll be glad to breathe real air again.

NARRATOR

Milo was one of the benefits I kept when I left my home world. Every Magical Girl needed a mascot. Mom thought she was an angel; Dad said she was an alien. Milo didn’t tell us but I agreed with Dad. Not that I was talking to them anymore.

NARRATOR

Not that I minded. Mylo’s white fur was soothing to touch, thick and plush, and I could run my fingers through it over and over again. The shuttle we were on, was the last step in our trip. Juentual Three was our destination. The third mining colony of the Juentual coglomotrate.

NARRATOR

A newish colony, it had only been here for three quarters of a century. Past the third stage of colonization. It even had its own orbital ring.

Shuttle Lands on Planet

NARRATOR

Yes, I’ve come here for tertiary training, and to start a new life. That’s right, these are the adventures of Perfectly Ordinary Girl: Megan Higgins… Roll Credits.

Camera moves out to a outside view of the Shuttle Decelerating. Framed along the bottom third of the screen. Big Block Letters, 80's style with 3D: Perfectly Ordinary Girl (New Line) Megan Higgins. Meghan's theme plays

Scene 2:

Start in the shuttle. The shuttle door opens and Meghan needs to get off the shuttle. Meghan is the only occupant of the shuttle. It is dark outside.

New Mission Appears, Get to the Metro Station

New Submission Appears, leave the shuttle and go to customs and immigrations

Player is prompted to use the Action Key (e) to stand up.

As Meghan stands up she moves Milo up to her shoulder. Milo will then wrap around her neck.

Player is given simple instructions to use the movement keys (wasd), and a set of arrows to follow out of the shuttle, down the jetway, and towards customs.

Customs Guy is snoring at his desk. Clock on the wall says 01:50:00

CUSTOMS GUY Irritated Tone

Do you know what time it is?

Player is prompted to go into inventory (i), and then select the passport. Player is then prompted to use the Action Key (e) to hand over passport.

Meghan hands over the passport

MEGHAN Trying to hold back sarcasm

It's 1:50 am, sir

CUSTOMS GUY Irritated Tone

Bah, don’t you know most people-

Customs Guy opens up the passport, looking shocked

CUSTOMS GUY Polite/Subservient Tone

Please put your hand on the biometric’s scanner, ma’am.

Pip is highlighted over the scanner. When the focus rolls over it, prompt the player to press the action key (e) to place hand over the scanner

Meghan places hand on the scanner looking confused. Also shivers when the scanner does it's thing. Custom guy double checks the results.

CUSTOMS GUY Polite/Subservient Tone

Oh…. What brings you…. To the planet?   Your Excellency?

Meghan looks more confused.

Excellency?  Where did I hear that title before?  Was he trying to ask me out or something?  I know I take care of myself, and magical girls are pretty even in their untransformed state.

MEGHAN

Umm, oh, yeah, I’ve come to attend the tertiary school, the pre-university course.

CUSTOMS GUY Polite/Subservient Tone

Oh, yes.  History and culture exchange and all that.

MEGHAN

Umm, yeah.

That’s it, no I’m here for science and technology. They have this interesting energy crystal, only found here.

CUSTOMS GUY Polite/Subservient Tone

Do you mind me asking why your excellency is coming here at this time of day?  The chief wants to make sure to greet foreign dignitaries from the alliance properly.

MEGHAN {Telepathic Filter Slow down the animation to 5 fps}

Foreign Dignitaries?  What is he talking about?  What did Rex do?  I just asked him for a passport, so I could attend school outside of the alliance. Rex was my friend in the state department.  He’s known me as both Meghan and Ava for at least five years.  When I helped save those diplomats from Seti Nau IV.  He really helped me keep from putting my foot in my mouth.  Can you just see a fourteen year old saving the ambassador and his daughter from the wrath demons, and not even knowing how to address them…. Oh shit!

MEGHAN

Oh I don’t like the pomp, if everyone knew that someone like me was coming to school, would they still be friendly?

What did my passport say.  Class A(c) or something like that.  Rex said it was normal for students.

CUSTOMS GUY

That makes sense, but I should still get the chief, he’ll know what to do.  Just follow me to the VIP lounge.  It’s not manned right now, but it’s more comfortable than these chairs.

Customs guy stands up, and grabs the passport and starts to walk away.

Scene 3

Inside the VIP Room

MEGHAN

I think Rex gave me the wrong passport.

MILO

No, I think he gave you the one he thought fitted you best.

MEGHAN

But why?  I don’t want to be an ambassador.  They’re the only ones who get called ‘Your Excellency’.  What about the current ambassador?

MILO

There isn’t one, remember?  You didn’t want to go to an alliance world remember?

MEGHAN Slightly panicky

But doesn't the state have to go through a lot of paper work to issue a diplomatic passport, and get it approved by the hosting nation?

MILO

Yes they do

MEGHAN Slightly panicky

And don't ambassadors have to go through lots of ceremonies and sit at state dinners, and be polite all the time, and ...

MILO

Yes they do

MEGHAN

But... I don't want that

MILO

Would you rather be listed as a strategic weapon?

MEGHAN

I am not a strategic weapon, Milo!

MILO

Not since you—

MEGHAN

Gave up my wand!  And even before then I was not a strategic weapon!

MILO

You definitely were.  It’s why you left.

MEGHAN

Look, this isn’t getting us anywhere, Milo.

MILO Huffy/Frustrated

You always try to change the subject when you’re losing.

MEGHAN More panicky

No I don’t!  What are we going to do about this?  An ambassador is going to have her movements tracked by the local people, she’ll be driven everywhere.  Given special treatment.

MILO Deadpan

And you don’t want special treatment?

MEGHAN

No I don’t.  It means I have to…

MILO

Be reliable?

MEGHAN

No, fight again.

MILO

Well what do you want to do?  Run?

MEGHAN

Yes.  That’s a good idea.

MILO Quietly

You can't run forever.

MEGHAN

Think we can get past the cameras and to the metro station?

MILO

That’s not a good idea Megs!

MEGHAN

Why not?

MILO

You’ll leave your luggage and your ID behind.

MEGHAN

That’s the point!  I don’t want to be special.

MILO

Fine. 

MILO Quietly

But I don’t think it’s a good idea.

MEGHAN

It’s decided.

Meghan goes over to the door.

New Mission appears: Escape the Space Port

Scene 4

Outside the VIP Room in hallways. Hallways leads past some doors, there's a sign for restrooms at the end. Several cameras are visible. Scanning back and forth

MEGHAN

Up for some sneaking Mylo?

MILO

If we must.

New sub mission appears: Sneak past the cameras. Player must sneak past the cameras

MILO

This would be easier if you used magic.

MEGHAN

No.

MILO

I'll lend you some so you can see where the cameras are pointing. Just a little, I'll hook it into your HUD

After successfully sneaking past the cameras

At the junction of a hallway. Leading out past a big area with luggage carousel, and a door to the metro. It's a tall area with arches and beams

MEGHAN

What do you think Mylo, think we can sneak past?

MILO

If we went up, we probably could.  Go from arch to arch.  But that means j umping, and without your magic I’m not sure you can do that.

MEGHAN

No more magic

Meghan turns her head to draw the eyes towards a couch with an air vent over it

MEGHAN

Let's go up there, Milo!

MILO

It looks dusty and not maintained.

MEGHAN

Well that means they probably won’t look there then.
